Matlı, which aims to be the food group that meets Turkey's protein needs, has also stepped into the white meat sector with the acquisition of Keskinoğlu Tavukçuluk, one of the biggest brands of Akhisar opening to the world.
The tender process, which started on February 03, 2023, was concluded on April 04, 2023, and 99.4% of Keskinoğlu Tavukçuluk shares were acquired by the Matlı group with mutual signatures. Thus, Matlı, a food company with its foundations dating back to 1965, incorporated the Keskinoğlu brand, one of the leading companies in the white meat sector, and added another important protein source to its product family.
Keskinoğlu, Turkey's first and only fully integrated poultry organization, uses the latest technologies and applies high hygiene standards in its breeding facilities, pullets facilities, hatchery and feed factories. Keskinoğlu, which has a daily processing capacity of over 3 million eggs and 400 thousand pieces of chicken meat in 3 different fully integrated egg processing facilities certified by European standards in Akhisar, has a production capacity of 30 thousand tons per year in its advanced processing facility. It produces 95 million broiler chickens and raises 2.5 million pullets annually. The facility also offers pasteurized eggs, which are processed in fully automatic machines, to the market as white, yellow and whole upon request.
Today, Matlı continues its activities in 7 regions of our country with 19 companies, 16 brands, 1 R&D Center, more than 10 thousand suppliers, more than 6 thousand employees and nearly 1000 dealers in 81 provinces. Matlı ranks 117th in the Istanbul Chamber of Industry's list of Turkey's Top 500 Industrial Enterprises with its Proyem company in feed production. Matlı made its last investment in Diyarbakır for feed production and is preparing to open its 10th feed factory in Niğde.Thanks to the 15.2 MW solar energy systems (SPP) installed at its facilities, it generates 25,320,893 kWh of energy annually and meets 20% of its energy needs with clean energy.
Matlı Tarım Ürünleri Lisanslı Depoculuk A.Ş., which is a part of the Group, operates as the 6th largest company in Turkey with its structure that enables authorized classifiers to determine the classes and grades of the products produced by farmers. With a total storage capacity of 404 thousand tons in 6 regions, the company continues to grow with new branch openings and capacity increases.
Matlı is one of the top 5 egg producers in Turkey with its egg production facility in Karacabey with a capacity of 785,000 chicks and 2,150,000 chickens; and one of the 5 largest facilities in Turkey with its Yörsan facility in Susurluk with a daily raw milk processing capacity of 1,500 tons. Bağyurdu fruit and agricultural products company engages in good agricultural practices in grape, plum and cherry production to develop export-oriented products. Agroglobal Tarım Ürünleri Dış Ticaret A.Ş. carries out Matlı's domestic and international commercial operations for the supply of timely and standard products and produces fertilizers, seeds and complementary feeds for growers. For pets, it manufactures cat and dog food from raw materials that it procures directly from the producer and is sure of its quality.
In addition to its investments in logistics and cold storage to ensure timely and high quality product delivery from producers to suppliers, it also manages operations that will reduce the costs of producers and suppliers with the Yeşil-Beyaz fuel facility in Konya. With its investment in İzmir Aliağa Bağyurdu OIZ, it also carries out infrastructure works in the field of industry.
Since 2006, Ömer Matlı Academy has been conducting research and training activities in the fields of animal care, nutrition and health for efficient milk production. It develops new products at the R&D Center established within Matlı Süt in 2023.
It informs women producers for clean and efficient milk production with the right equipment and methods and supports women to become entrepreneurs. Matlı attaches importance to education and established Ömer Matlı Elementary School and Ulviye Matlı Science High School, and provides internship, scholarship and employment opportunities to students studying agriculture at Hamidiye Vocational and Technical Anatolian High School.
Keskinoğlu Poultry
Serving since 1963 in the poultry sector, Keskinoğlu produces chicken meat, table and pasteurized eggs, further processing products and viol in its facilities with a closed area of 489,162 m², built on a land of 2,780,503 m² and equipped with the most modern production technologies in European Union standards.
Keskinoğlu raises the world's most productive and healthy eggs and broiler chicks in fully automatic computer-controlled incubation and vaccination units. It produces 3 million eggs daily in 3 different facilities and 95 million broiler chickens annually in its broiler plant. Keskinoğlu, which started pullet production in 1986 with 13 poultry houses each with a capacity of 35 thousand pieces, raises 2.5 million pullets in the facility where the number of poultry houses increased to 25 with the investments made in 2011. With a daily processing capacity of 400 thousand pieces of chicken meat, Keskinoğlu produces in a total of 3 slaughterhouse lines, and the advanced processing facility, which was put into operation in 2008, has a capacity of 30 thousand tons.
Keskinoğlu ensures that eggs reach the kitchens in a healthy and safe way with its viol factory, which was established in 1994 with its environmental management policy. It uses cardboard freezers and cold storage warehouses to preserve its products in the best way until they reach the consumer. In the facility, which has a shocking capacity of 7,800 kg per hour, the nutritional values of the products are preserved at a high rate.
Fem Logistics facilities within Keskinoğlu provide services in safe and world-class conditions with a capacity of 1,000 pallets to ensure that quality products reach customers within the programmed time and under the best conditions.
Establishing its own feed factory in 1981 and opening its second factory, the OSB feed factory in 2008, Keskinoğlu produces with a total capacity of 100 tons/hour, 60 tons/hour at the central feed factory and 40 tons/hour at the OSB feed factory.
Keskinoğlu integrated facilities also have fertilizer facilities in order to ensure the best recycling of the laying hen droppings to the nature. In these facilities, fertilizer is produced at European standards using the latest technology.
